Cedar Creek Silverback

Anyone know if Cedar Creek is still making the regular Silverback
line? I'm confused. I ordered a 2009 Cedar Creek Silverback 36L5S
five weeks ago. The dealer called and said the unit is in. I haven't
seen it yet but is it really an 2008? Did they quit making the Silverbacks? On Forest River's website, there are no Silverbacks.
There are a few Gll Silverbacks but thats a different trailer.

RE: Cedar Creek 5th Wheel

I am actually living in Ohio working and bought mine from Jeff Couch. I was working with Jamie then I didn't hear from her for a time. She ended up leaving the company. Anyways I was happy with the price but I'm nervous about service afterwords. I"ve heard good things for the most part but I have heard a hand full of bad stuff too. Not sure how to take it but I'm committed to picking up the unit next week. We'll see how it goes.

RE: Cedar Creek 5th Wheel

OK the Gll is different than what I got. I am getting the regular Silverback and its suppose to come with the electric jacks and upgraded bed too. Hmmm. I"m going to make a list and check it four times. Thanks for the heads up. Did you buy it in Ohio?

RE: Cedar Creek 5th Wheel

The website still shows features and options for a 2008 model year. Did you get a list of features/options for the 2009 model year? I thought I did but mine might be a 2008 too. :S

RE: Cedar Creek 5th Wheel

klassic. I'm suppose to take delivery of my Cedar Creek Silverback next weekend and I did order most of the options listed. What are some of the standard features that the trailer didn't come with? Should I start to worry now?

RE: How does dealer add second a/c and divide ductwork?

I am suppose to pick up my Cedar Creek Silverback 36L5S next week and I ordered it with the second AC. Does anyone know if its ducted from the factory or will it blow straight down like the after market jobs?

RE: All that space in the basement and no AC Outlet - Fixed

I ordered a Cedar Creek and they don't have any there but I asked if they can be installed and they can and will for me. I think it was $25 per plug. If you order one new, I'd ask about options that their options sheet doesn't even list because odds are they might be able to do it.

A few friends of mine have had them added at the dealer and the
second AC just blew into the bedroom. It wasn't ducted.

RE: Home freezer... What temp is right??

Years ago I worked at McDonald's and their freezer setting, at least at that time was between -10 to zero F. My stand alone freezer at home is around -10F.

RE: atrial fibrilation

Wouldn't an internal defibulator work? It will shock the socks off of you but will put your heart back into a normal rythem. My father inlaw had one. Once a month he'd put a "reader" up to his chest and it would read all the data from the internal device then sent the info over a phone line to his doctor to see
how he's doing. Pretty cool stuff.

RE: Help-Electrical Question

Just a thought but you might have a floating or isolated ground on your genset. I"d turn off all your breakers and fuses on the trailer then plug it back into the house. Start turning on one thing at a time until your GFI trips. Its tripping for a reason so you have some sort of problem. My brother ran into an issue with his roof mounted AC. After a year or so, vibration finally got the wire and cut into the insulation. Not a direct short but enough to trip the GFI which will trip on a differential of about 4-6 mA which isn't much.

RE: Duggars and their 18 kids

Never heard of them. My mother inlaw was one of twenty children. One mother and two fathers. Of course that was back between about 60 and 85 years

RE: I need to be put out to pasture-now have type 2 diabetes!

My uncle was diagnosed with it when he was nine years old. He's now right at sixty. Not doing well now but has been dealing with it at least fifty one years.
He gets around well but does have good and bad days. Is about to start some kind of in home dialysis. It is manageable.

RE: Have generator prep. should I go built in or portable

I just ordered a Cedar Creek 5er with the genset built in. My wife and I looked at a motorhome and thats what we were going to buy until I changed jobs and now I"m going to be living in the thing so we decided to buy a much larger 5er.
With that said, I still wanted the convience of a motorhome which in my eyes is a fully self contained RV. The 5er has plenty of fresh and waste water storage but no power other than the battery. After I finish up this job, we'll be able to use the trailer for day use and so on. The genset was something I wanted but didn't want to fool around with a portable unit. Push the button and I have power. Only big problem is space, it takes up your front storage compartment so if you can deal with that all you have to over come is the fuel. You can buy gas pretty much anywhere but propane, thats another story. Look at the propane gensets and do the math. The 30 pound bottles won't run the genset long. I know th at and can deal with it but others might not like the idea. I might end up putting a propane tank into the bed of my truck. I'm researching that right now. You should sit down and figure out how your going to use the trailer. My idea was to use the genset when you stop for a few hours sleep instead of renting an RV spot and day trips to the beach. Good luck

RE: Feedback wanted on RVdirect.com

Been reading about RVDirect on here for a long long time. They are legit but like any dealer, most get on here and say they are great, wonderful and make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside while a small handfull of others say they are horrible and would never buy from them again. By far, most of the posts I"ve read on here were positive about RVDirect.
The one thing you'll have to over come is paying for the rig. I've never bought one from them but I"ve read many posts on here that say you have to pay for the rig in full before you pick it up. You pay a deposit to order it, then after some lenght of time, you pay the rest. My bank wouldn't go for that because they want the papers on the rig in some timely manner so I'm not sure about the details of that but thats something you need to research more.

RE: Eldarado Cadillac Pulling A 5er !!!!!! Any Pics ?

I saw a Caddy set up this way in northwest Houston out on HWY 290 at least fifteen plus years ago. If I recall, the Caddy was blue or a dark color. Ring a bell?

RE: iPod Help

All the songs I bought were from the Apple iTunes store, their store, and yes legal. The only headphones I have are the ones that came with the iPod. I don't have any with a jack that small. I have played it on my computer but my computer has better than average speakers because its a TV as well. I'll try some new speakers though.
